Someday I will meet you again.
Surely that wasn’t supposed to be it, was it? Surely some people aren’t supposed to just walk into your life, make a space for themselves in your heart, curl up comfortably there like that space belonged to them, or them to it - and then leave, with only cold, hollow emptiness in their wake. Surely not. Surely some were meant to stay for longer than forever.
Surely you were worth more than a lesson, weren’t you? More than a memory, now rapidly yellowing at the edges, creased and worn down from being revisited too many times.
